Today there are over 750 different animal species and about 17,000 animals. 1991, London Zoo threatened with closure due to poor economy, but because people wanted the zoo left of visitors began to increase and even donations. Today is also the London Zoo participates in preserving and propagating different kinds of animals.

Come and look at lions, tigers , gorillas , snakes, giraffes, zebras and much more . You can get here easily by public transport such as bus or subway (Camden Town station) with the Northern Line. From Camden Town it is easy to walk to London Zoo in approx 15 minutes.

Tiger Territory

Tiger Territory

March 20, 2013 opened the London Zoo's new Tiger Territory. Here lives the two Sumatran Tigers Jae Jae and Melati. Sumatran Tigers are endangered and today is said to be only about 300 left in the wild. Jae Jae and Melati are paired, from two different parts of the world to hopefully reproduce. Any hope for small tiger cubs shortly.

The former tiger country has been rebuilt and expanded. Now they have about 2,500 square meters to move on. It has designed the fence so that it will fit tigers need to move, climb, and they've also got their own pool. Tigers are probably one of the most beautiful felines, so come and see them eye-to-eye.
